Monday, my name is …
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls … How the hell are you all !?
It’s been a while, but there’s been some good stuff going on. Since the last update I have gotten some new logos for the site and finally got the site switched from Digitalstuffy over to Fallingstuff. Now, I haven’t abandoned the old URL’s, they just point over to the new site now. I haven’t done much with my site since I’ve had it, but there’s some nostalgia with that old name that I can’t give up. (The same applies for gotchtech.com that I was using for a very brief time – I’m holding onto that for some future plans.)
Next up Facebook and Youtube, as in I have set up a Facebook page for the site and a Youtube channel. I’ve got inspired by some Youtube videos on some retro gaming … and happened to run across some really convenient finds at some local thrift stores for encouragement. I’ll be posting some stuff soon, I’ve been hung up on getting all the details for capturing the videos “perfect”, which has not gone as well as planned. Oh and some 3D printing might be involved in taking some time too.
Lastly (for this update), I’ve started to set up some posts in a series I’m calling “Weekday Waltz”, a different topic for each day of the week. The first is filled under “Meme’ing Mondays”, the name is pretty self explanatory – Memes … on Mondays – the inspiration came from random posts I was putting on Facebook of the “No time to Explain” variety, It got funny, so, time to keep it going !
That’s all I got for now, till next time.
Welcome 2017 … 2 months ago. Ok, I’m a little behind. 2015 and 2016 marked some pretty frustrating years in my personal life, but 2017 is going to be an awesome year. I’ve got some really cool ideas in mind, and the first was to re-brand the site. “Stuffy” is a nickname I got in college, I still hear that from some friends, but that’s not quite as professional I’d like. True, “FallingStuff” isn’t exactly professional either, but it’s the screen name I use for gaming and so a little more fitting (I didn’t get rid of the previous site addresses, they redirect to this new main site). I have a much more professional section to the site I’m going to be developing, that is still on the drawing board, as is the new fledgling YouTube channel. There are a few other plans on the table, including … coming soon (have to keep something for people to return for). First steps though, new graphics and finish converting the site content over.
A video welcome to the newest class of Standing up School.

Tabula rasa is a Latin phrase often translated as “blank slate” in English and originates from the Roman tabula used for notes, which was blanked by heating the wax and then smoothing it. This roughly equates to the English term “blank slate” (or, more literally, “erased slate”) which refers to the emptiness of a slate sheet previous to it being written on with chalk. Both may be refreshed repeatedly, by melting the wax or by erasing the chalk. (Wikipedia)
I started this site in 2007 as a place to show off some projects that I had built, you know, that stuff built in college and to be used to show off for job hunting. Over the years I tried a few times to just clean up and “refit” what was already there, but my previous efforts have stalled for many reasons (most of them I suspect were personal I’m planning to talk about those in a later post). So now, in the spirit of ‘Tabula Rasa’, I have wiped out my old site and now starting off fresh with new content, new ideas, and a perspective (and since I managed to break the old one so badly I couldn’t get into it … oops). My little piece of the electronic world will continue to be a place to show off random projects (coming soon – Minecraft Server and some vaguely awesome fiction), but now also to share opinions and other possibly thought provoking materials. Or I am just going to annoy and piss off people, and since this is my site, I can do that.
So without further ado, I declare this new oddly shaped piece of digital frontier open for business. Enjoy your stay, or don’t, it’s up to you.
